WASHINGTON, D.C. — Oct. 27, 2026 — The Association of American Railroads (AAR) today recognized 17 companies with its 2025 Grand Slam Award for exceptional safety performance in the shipping and handling of hazardous materials.
The Grand Slam Award recognizes hazardous materials shippers that recorded zero non-accident releases during the previous calendar year and were nominated by at least four Class I railroads. A non-accident release is an unintentional release of hazardous material during transportation that does not involve a rail accident.
