The Association of American Railroads, in cooperation with the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association and American Public Transportation Association, will host the second annual Positive Train Control (PTC) conference on October 15-16, 2013 in St. Louis, Missouri. The conference will focus on the issues related to PTC development and deployment.
Attendance at the conference is limited to employees of railroads, passenger agencies and their contract operators. Last year’s conference was attended by representatives from all 7 Class I railroads, 15 Class II, III and terminal railroads, 21 passenger agencies or operators and the Federal Railroad Administration. Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached.
The conference will begin at 8:00am on Tuesday, October 15th, and conclude at noon on Wednesday, October 16th.  Lunch will be provided on Tuesday.
There are multiple hotels in various price ranges in the immediate vicinity of the St. Louis airport, including the Crowne Plaza St. Louis Airport which is offering a discounted rate of $99/night, subject to availability, for persons indicating they are attending the PTC Conference.  All of the hotels have courtesy shuttles serving the airport terminals and the light rail station.
