Railroads Are Hiring!
America’s freight railroads are hiring in 2011! Roughly 30 percent of the railroad industry’s current workforce, or 67,000 rail employees, will be eligible for retirement over the next five years and, with the gradual return in rail traffic, railroads have begun to bring back workers and recruit new employees for jobs located all around the U.S.
And in the railroad industry, jobs are not just jobs, they are careers. Railroads devote tremendous resources to training employees for often high-tech positions, and offer highly competitive compensation packages.
Railroads are also actively recruiting military veterans! To attract former military service men and women, railroads have instituted military recruitment programs and offer competitive benefits.
