AAR Associate Advisory Board
The Associate Advisory Board (AAB) provides AAR Associate members a structure through which to fully participate in the association. Through the Associate Advisory Board, Associate members are represented within the AAR and on AAR committees.
The AAB consists of 12 members; nine Gold members equally representing three categories of membership (car owner/lessor, manufacturer/supplier and engineering/signal) and three at-large members. Two non-voting AAR representatives also sit on the AAB. All Associate members vote for members of the AAB.
A primary purpose of the AAB is to annually solicit nominations from among all Gold members to serve on various AAR committees that report to the Safety and Operations Management Committee. The AAB reviews nominations and selects representatives to serve on AAR committees to represent the Associate community.
